I emailed firmtek and asked them what firmware would best suit you.
Their reply:
"Dear Jeff,
When using two FirmTek cards in the same computer, both cards need to have the same
firmware version. In this case, both cards should have 513 installed on them."
I am thinking that the issue could be that they have different firmware. Once you get it starting install the cards one at a time and change the firmware to 5.1.3 if not already that. I am guessing they both have 5.3 on them which is newer but more unstable.

hey guys
i know this topic doesnt belong here but if someone can please help me out id really appriciate it. i did try to post this a few time in the ipod section but no one seems to be of any help.
i have a ipod touch 4th gen currently on 4.3
i was trying to jailbreak it using redsnow 0.9.6rc14 to upgrade to 4.3.2 and jailbreak at the same time. the jailbreak does finish but when i check the ipod it isnt upgrading the software to4.3.2 nor is cydia getting insatalled. if someone can please help me out id really appriciate it.

Glad I get .Mac for free. I like the look of it, but please Apple do the following:

I recently designed publicity for the play, HARVEY. Many might be aware of the movie of the same name starring Jimmy Stewart. The play is about an eccentric guy who starts seeing this 6-foot White Rabbit that wears human clothing. Is he crazy or does he really have a new best friend?
The actual poster is here (http://www.gowan.us/harvey). It was put together with eight different source photos.

I send out a lot of resumes but no real nibbles yet.
Don't send out resumes. Put together a portfolio and arrange a meeting.
Tell them you're the best thing since sliced bread, and you'll do anything (almost ;)) to prove it to them. I wouldn't give a resume a second glance, but could easily spend 15 minutes looking over an aspiring designer's work.
If your work is good and you present it and yourself well, it should be enough to get your foot in the door somewhere. Be prepared to discuss your decision making process in detail.

I'd rather pay and get upgrades than have the developer abandon the app because it isn't profitable to do anymore free updates. What should Loren do when everyone that will buy Tweetie already has it? Develop updates out of the goodness of his heart?
The app store has a problem, and that's the amount of crap and cheapness of that crap. It drives the price of everything down. Factor in that ALL upgrades are free and you have a major problem for devs. You can sell an app once to each user, at next to nothing cost, and that's all you get. Yes, initially it's good when you're selling 100K apps a week but what happens when everyone's bought your app? The app store has a sustainability problem, and it will soon rear it's ugly head.
Compare it to desktop software where even the most basic apps cost $10+ and all upgrades are paid.
I'm quite happy to pay Loren �1.79 every 8-12 months for his work on Tweetie because frankly it's amazing and �1.79 is pretty much nothing.

You only care about yourself and what you can get for yourself regardless if it's at the expense of others. You have no social responsibility. People's inability to look past their own nose and care about others is really quite pathetic. You don't care if Loren gets paid for his work, or for a sustainable app store. It will be better for the world as I am planning on being a top notch criminal prosecutor, and plan to put a LOT of criminals away. Suggest you look at Core Plot (http://code.google.com/p/core-plot/), or using Google chart API (http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/interactive_charts.html) if web connectivity is not a barrier.

Maybe I'm the only one that thinks this, but, while it's a cool demo, I'd probably never use this. The iPad would have to reach at least the amount of control and sensitivity of a Cintiq to make this useful. So it's cool that Adobe is working on it, and maybe with future revs of hardware, the iPad will get to that point (I really hope it does). But it all still seems like finger painting to me until you have control with some sort of drawing utensil. The funny thing is, Steve Jobs - the man who spouts and gushes over creating tools by artists for artists, and - is the one man leading the fight against any sort of stylus for use with the iDevices. While I agree with him on use throughout the iOS interface, all artists are NOT created equal. I've seen fantastic work by some of the guys using their fingers with those paint programs, but I'd say for the majority of artists out there, the real key is going to be getting a stylus that works properly in a drawing or painting app on the iOS.
At the studio I work at, the day the iPad was announced, there were about 40 people that were willing to blow up to $1k on the iPad had it come out with some sort of stylus support - not for interface, but for drawing. These are people that use Cintiqs day in and day out. When the price point of $499 was announced their jaws dropped in unison. SOLD! But when no stylus was announced and when Jobs said "If you are using a stylus, you are doing it wrong", there was a collective sigh and gnashing of teeth. Not a single person purchased one.
So while it was a cool demo, it's still a hard sell to people who do this stuff all day, everyday for a living. Let's see a real stylus for artwork from Apple that is meant to work with the touchscreen on iOS and let's see it blow everything else away!
Until then, maybe this is the best we can hope for.

I used SnowTunes Noir (http://cristomac24.deviantart.com/art/SnowTunes-iTunes-OS-X-theme-141310715) (it's part of the download, there's three versions in one installer, both Noir and HUD are dark, just different styles). It's been working well for a long time now.
