I would like to open this thread for those who are worried about the implications of using AC21 after 180 days. Lots of folks on several thread have either attempted to scare(any desi consultant ;) ) or are just scared!
I would like to have ppl share there reviews and experiences but I assure you
that AC21 is the law and your I-140 revocation has no effect to your on going process if you've done as required by the law as follows:
1. Joined the new job in the same or similar category
&
2. Minimum salary as specified per approved labour
So pls dont worry..be happy..love AC21! :D

I asked an other question which is more related to this and somebody deleted. Please answer these as it is really hard.
Here is my question,
1. After 180 days I would like to change job.
2. My I140 approved in feb 2006.
3. Company needs to file I140 amendment because my company was acquired by a giant company and they will do end of Apr 2008.
4. Can I quit before Apr 2008 will it have any issues in my Green card process.

Normally u get a recipt notice withing 2 weeks or submitting H1 application. Check to see if waht u have is a just receipt notice or a I-797 (H1B Doc).

Neither calculation nor politics works. All this masturbating (sorry for the word but i couldn't found any other word which fits better). FIFO is being applied. It means, we all gotta wait until they clear certain amount of case from Backlog centers. They release the numbers based on the released cases from BC.
Think that why S.1932 didn't work. Nobody willing to tell the truth but I'm.

Hello fellow IV members,
I am hoping to port to a new job using AC21. I contacted my attorney with various questions about the process, but she told me that she can not respond to my questions because she represents me as well as the current company I work for. For those of you who are looking to port or have already done so, did you face a similar situation - where your attorney could not advise and assist you through the process of porting? How did you resolve this situation? Did you have to find another attorney to help you with porting to a new job?

If you can convert to EB2 ( eligible for it ) and recapture your earlier PD of EB3 then it would be the best course of action . If you keep on waiting for the bills to pass ( and they don't since this is an election year ) then you would just lose time.
I know we are all frustrated because of this seemingly endless wait but I am positive - it is not endless . It will end one way or the other - for some sooner and for others later.

The reason you did not get an approval with I-94 is that it seems your current status is valid only till May and I am not sure if your attorney included the documents (I-20) mentioning that you will be enrolled in Kaplan from June - Oct......USCIS wont approve a H1 with I-94 if you do not show evidence that you have valid status till Oct 1st.....
