The law in question in Arizona was SB 1070. When it passed, I was an immigrant resident of that state.
When I received my greencard two years ago, I was sent a letter from the Department of Homeland Security -- the same letter that is sent to thousands of new immigrants every week -- from which I quote:

Guys, Sorry for my ignorance but
I was checking vfs-usa.co.in website and in "Immigrant Visas for East & West " section, its written
An immigrant visa allows the person receiving it to live and work indefinitely in the United States. Immigrant visas are issued based on approved I-129F, I-130, I-140, I-360, or I-600 petitions that establish a family- or employment-based relationship between the petitioner and the beneficiary.
I have my I140 approved through a american company and my h1b is getting expired in june 09.
According to above wordings, I can get a visa to live and work indefinitely,based on my approved I140. I have never heard about it.
Might be some one can explain what is exactly means.

Having an approved I-140 does not mean you can 'indefinetely' work and live here automatically.
It is ONE of the steps to clear on the road to legal immigration.

How come most of the 2006 PD holders getting approved? I do not have any grudge against who have 2006 PD and got their AOS approved. I am just wondering as to what is making USCIS to choose only 2006 PD ? Definitely, the low hanging fruits theory does not seem to be working here. Anybody has any idea about that ? I am just frustrated.

I did not make the mistake of sending her abroad, she had gone on her own accord and overstayed until her AP expired and now wants to come back (as I said some of these issues were not in my control).

You can apply for AP from outside USA only if on emergency humanitarian situations. Look at Form I-131, there is an option to apply from outside USA.
Look at part one of the I-131 document and talk to your attorney if you can show such a need for an emergency humaitarian situation.

Your Approval Notice is sent to the attorny not to you.If the current one you have is original one from attorney then your wife has to out of country immediately and enter with I94 ...Please note I94 is the one that determines you status in this country...

I have a question regarding where to file my EAD renewal application. I am a July filer NJ resident and my I-485/EAD/AP were sent to Nebraska and got the AP/EAD approved through Nebraska going by my LIN no. As per the (C)(9) rules it says NJ residents should file to Texas service center and somewhere else I read that my EAD renewal application should be sent to the location where my I-485 is getting processed.
Please share your experiences.

Why do you want to spent $2000 for lawyer for AC21? If you have same or similar offer letter, why cant you type a simple covering letter for your AC21?Do it yourself. US certified post cost around $2.00. Hiring lawyer for AC21 is waste of money.

My employer needs to pay me back wages for 3 months from Dec-2008 to Feb-2009. I travelled to India in March and informed the employer about the same after reaching India. Now the employer have filed a civil case against me for contract dispute. Can I file a complaint against my employer in Department of Labor, to get back the pending wages till March from outside the country?
Please help, as we are in a difficult financial situation and I cannot pay the employer the amount he demands for contract dispute, if the court rules against me, unless he pays me my pendng wages.

Yesterday I came back from Vancouver after 4 day visit, using 30 day rule. My visa was expired but I-94 was still valid. CBP officer at Vancouver airport didnt create any problem. He looked at my expired visa on my old passport , my new passport and current I-94 date on I-797. Thats it. He even wandered why my old I-94 was still attached with old passport which no1 bothered to take out while I was going out of USA. So he took out old I-94 from expired passport and put a new I-94 on new passport. Thats all. He didnt bothered to ask my job letter, work details , company name etc.

This one was really difficult for me to evaluate because of all the openess, but I felt myself gravitating more towards the forms in number 3. Since it was the form that attracted me, I downloaded and cropped to make the fence the focus (since that's what grabbed my attention initially). I think I like the crop sans sky where only the wheatfield ( or is it oats?) and fence posts show the most. I know it has less complexity than the entire photo; maybe I'm just into simplistic and minimalist this week :)

But I have something written from Company C that although i was employed by company C, but my payroll was being processed by Company A.

IV is not for any particular nationals. While ROW is also affected because of retrogression, India and China are severely affected and there is hardly any movement in EB2/3 for India. The hard country limits in EB system and inability to capture unused visa numbers are just 2 of the many reasons responsible for retrogression. These forums have been misused by some people to advertise about their firm. May be the other member skimmed through the post and considered it a similar ad. OP has given a fitting response. Only till May 2013. But then you can still renew for 3 more years provided your PD is not current in 2013. You can use the approved I-140 from your current company for renewal. Make sure to get a copy of I-140 approval, not the courtesy copy.
You have to start a new GC process soon after you join a new company. That way you can port your PD to the new case and be eligible for filing I-485.

I said frivolous filing of I485, nothing to do with priority date not being current. If the priority date is not current then you are not going to get EAD. Let me give you an example. You could make up a job description that got through labor cert, but for which you don't have the qualifications for. You can concurrent file I140/I485 and get EAD even though your application has no chance of passing. If your lawyer is OK with it - after all, why do they care as long as they get the fee - you have just wasted USCIS' time.
I am confused stucklabor. I thought that labor decided ur job qualifications etc. I mean when i applied for my I-140 (i did not file concurrently btw). I was asked more info regarding my company and all of the company documents. I wasnt being sarcastic or anything i am just trying to understand what is going on.

Also you could shoot up the small band market. Thats how I got started. I was managing bands then they asked me to build their websites. Go to a local club or venue on local band night and hand out your card.
