based on my understanding for an EB application i should check on option a. an immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number has beenapproved. (Attach a copy of the approval notice, or a relative, special immigrant juvenile orspecial immigrant military visa petition filed with this application that will give you animmediately available visa number, if approved.)

Gator, I wish I could answer that part.While I was doing research on AVR on this forum and other Google results, I think I did read somewhere that using AVR might affect adversly on AP application.
You know, 1 thing I did b4 going out was to go on CBP official website, went to Ask a Question and asked my question. I got reply same day from an official Chris. I printed that question and answer page and took with me, just in case. But everything was fine.

Yes mine processing date is 21st DEC and EB3 and also LUD is JAN'8'2007
if I don't see any update on my case I will wait for one more processing time update and then I can ask my Attorney to proceed for SR.

SR can be opened by company HR or lawyer if the service center processing time exceeds your receipt date by more than 30 days.
As sunny said, when NSC moves their processing time to more than 21st Jan 2007 ( I assume ur RD is 21st DEC and EB3)...your lawyer can call the normal 1800...number and raise a SR.
it's a simple process and lawyer should be knowing how to handle this.
I see people getting decisions within 30-45 days after SR.
Mine came in about 27 days.

Dear Attorney,
I live in boston and come under Texas service center, my I-140 was approved from texas.
But my pending 485 was sent to Nebraska Service center.
I am now trying to file EAD application,
I am confused if i need to send the EAD application to NSC (based on my pending 485) or should i send to Texas service center (based on my address jurisdiction).
My RFE's have come from nebraska only.
So could you please clairfy where i need to file EAD. I am doing a paper based filing and hence this question.

There is no information or caption on our home page that clearly states that this site/group is for highly skilled immigrants. We should come up with a caption that would convey this and also convey that its for all countries. We can add this beside the immigration voice logo.
The caption should be catchy and should convey the info....some thing like "by the people and for the people".
update: there is info about highly skilled immigrants on the home page but not sure if some people would have time to read these (especially those who just come in from other websites and might think this site is one of those immigration sites)
I think there is an article on front page. Also I am personnaly right now more interested in grass root state chapter person to person campaigning rather tha online campaigning. I think time has come to show the faces and numbers to each other. I appreciate your comments and my intention here is to just give an update. Last December, 2006 I got laid off because of company downsizing. My last pay stub was dated 12/15/2006. My LC was pending more than 365 days in my last company. Recently I got new job offer. My new company attorney is collecting all my immigration related information for filing H1-B extension from me. I have almost 60 days employment gap when my new company attorney file my 8th year H1-B extension.

Wandmaker, do you know what are the odds of getting approval for COS to B2 from H1B?
I'm about to submit an application for work visa in New Zealand and I want to stay here in the US and wait for my NZ visa approval here. I'm a Filipino national. I'm currently working on some document requirements and my guess-timate is that I'll get my NZ work visa by late January or even February. I do have an employer waiting for me in NZ and I signed an employment contract already. Will all these info be enough to support my application to stay for a few months and leave when I get all my affairs in order (NZ visa,etc)?

As long as your (immigration) records are clean, I do not see any issues in COSing to B2 from H1B. You do not have to go into greater detail about your future employment. You just need to mention that you have some personal closing tasks and site seeing to do before leaving the US for good, it should fetch you 6 months.
